Flow Coaching Academy is delighted to announce that two projects from across its network have been shortlisted at this year’s HSJ Patient Safety Awards, recognising their outstanding contribution to healthcare.
First to be shortlisted is the team at Devon Partnership Trust and Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust for the Mental Health Initiative of the year award, thanks to their ongoing work to connect mental health and physical health services across its gastroenterology pathway.
The second Flow Coaching Academy nomination goes to The Long Covid Programme at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals for the Service User Engagement and Co-production award.
Following one of the toughest years in the health and social care sector, our colleagues continue to champion patient safety amidst challenges that the health and social care sector is facing.
The Flow Coaching Academy has been shortlisted despite the tough competition from hundreds of applicants. These projects have been selected based on their ambition, visionary spirit and the demonstrable positive impact that this has had on patient and staff experiences within the health sector.
The judging panel is made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community including Sue Smith OBE (Executive Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, University Hospitals Morecambe Bay FT), Rachel Power (Chief Executive, The Patients Association), Dr Hester Wain (Head of Patient Safety Policy, NHS England and NHS Improvement).
Winners will be selected ahead of the ceremony, which will take place as part of the Patient Safety Congress and Awards in Manchester in September 2021.
