Faculty members from across the Flow Coaching Academy’s network joined at a virtual curriculum day to discuss the latest programme developments that will transform the way its improvement training is delivered nationwide.
Over the past seven months, FCA Central has worked to redesign the course to combine to synchronous learning sessions, self-taught e-learning and supporting activities to be run on its new online improvement community, to ensure more flexibility and easier collaboration across the network.
The course conversion will mean that sessions can be delivered in a more timely fashion, real-time data that will track coaches progress will be accessible to those delivering the course, and those taking part in the programme will be less restricted by geography.
When developing the new course, the central team has incorporated feedback it has received from its wider network and the latest plans were met with excitement and support.
As part of the event there were dedicated sessions to help FCA providers prepare for course delivery later this year.
Steve Harrison, FCA Strategic Lead said: “It’s been really positive to be able to bring together team members from across the FCA Network to share our latest plans and hear their thoughts and expectations for future course delivery.
“The last 12 months have been an incredibly difficult time for us all working in the healthcare sector and it’s now more important than ever that we continue to make long lasting improvements to the way we deliver patient care across the UK. Our new digital course reflects this need and we will now be able to continue to support organisations as they begin to look for recovery plans post COVID-19.”
Anna Burhouse, Faculty Member for FCA Northumbria and Director of Quality Development at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust added: “Having been involved with the FCA from the beginning, it is amazing to see how far the network has developed and the progress the team has made in developing the course.
“I’m really impressed with the quality of the new product and I’m so excited for the increased opportunity it brings for collaboration and greater flexibility moving forward.”
